OVERVIEW

Death Standing is the first of its kind 'Stand' type of game, where the player has to do nothing but hold still for as long as possible.
It's also the future of esports.

STANDING is no longer something you can only enjoy ALONE. You may now stand with your FRIENDS, LOVED ONES, and PLATONIC WORK-ONLY COLLEAGUES through local and online co-op.
IN THIS HARDCORE MEDITATIVE CHALLENGE. YOU MUST DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT OTHER GAMES HAVE BEEN METICULOUSLY DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU DO. THE MACHINE WANTS YOUR ATTENTION. IT WANTS YOU MOVING FROM ONE THING TO THE NEXT. BUT YOUR MIND IS STILL YOURS. PROVE YOURSELF IN THE GRAND STAND. PROVE HER SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE GHOSTED YOU. PROVE THE UNABOMBER WRONG. THE NEVERENDING, UNREGULATED PURSUIT OF TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENT IS COMPLETELY FINE. YOUR ATTENTION SPAN IS NOT DAMAGED. YOU ARE STILL IN CONTROL. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. IT'S YOU WHO CONTROLS THE CALVES.
How long can you stand it?

  • 2nd place: 3% of Eligible Net Revenue

Official Rulebook

01 Eligible Game Mode
Only records achieved in the official Calmmaxxing Mode — Singleplayer leaderboard are eligible for The Grand Stand consideration. Records achieved through other modes, unofficial versions, modifications, or external tools are not eligible.
02 Leaderboard Requirement
To qualify for season rewards, players must finish within the top 200 positions of the official leaderboard at the end of the season. Players outside the top 200 will not be considered for revenue-share rewards.
03 Record Verification
Any record submitted for The Grand Stand consideration must be accompanied by a continuous, unedited recording of the complete attempt from start to finish. The recording must clearly demonstrate:
  • The game running in an unmodified state
  • The complete leaderboard-record attempt, including the final result
  • The player's hand physically touching the mouse throughout the attempt
  • The use of a physical mouse as the input device (touchpads, simulated mouse inputs, or other alternative input methods are not permitted)
  • No use of unauthorized software, automation, macros, scripts, or external assistance
The recording must show the game window and the player's hand/mouse interaction at the same time. The camera angle must allow verification that the player's physical contact with the mouse is maintained for the duration of the attempt. Recordings with missing footage, cuts, edits, or unclear mouse interaction may be rejected.
04 Season Submission Window
Players have seven (7) days after the official end of a season to submit verification materials for their qualifying record. Failure to submit required verification within this period may result in the record being excluded from reward consideration.
05 Fair Play
Players must compete using legitimate gameplay methods. The following may result in disqualification:
  • Automation, macros, scripts, bots, or artificial input methods
  • Modified game files or unauthorized software
  • Leaderboard manipulation or fraudulent submissions
  • Misrepresentation of another player's performance
06 Revenue Share Payments
Revenue-share payments will be calculated after the developer receives the applicable Steam revenue payout for the relevant season period. Payments will generally be issued within ninety (90) days after the developer receives the applicable Steam payout, subject to verification, payment processing, legal requirements, and collection of required tax information. The developer reserves the right to delay payment while investigating eligibility, disputes, suspected fraud, or violations of these rules.
07 Developer Rights and Disputes
The developer reserves the right to review records, request additional verification, disqualify invalid submissions, correct leaderboard errors, and modify competition rules for future seasons. Participation in the The Grand Stand does not create an employment relationship, partnership, agency relationship, or ownership interest in the game or its revenue.
08 Rule Updates
Rules may be updated between seasons. The rules applicable to a season are the rules published at the start of that season unless otherwise required for fairness, security, or legal reasons.
